Thailand New Year Celebration Itinerary:
Thailand is considered to be one of the Party Hotspots of the world. And celebrating New Year’s eve in Thailand is one of the most happening experiences one should never miss out on in their lives. Hence, we decided to organize a group tour to the land of smiles for 4 nights and 5 days i.e. from 28th Dec’2019 to 1st Jan’2020
Here is what we planned for all of our esteemed customers for their New Year’s Eve.
Day 1: New Year Countdown Begins!
We started from Chennai on 28th December’19, via Thai Airways at 1:30 AM. Landed in the Capital city of Bangkok at 6:30 AM. And thus began the countdown of the New Year’s eve celebrations for these tourists in Thailand!
Post arrival at the airport, they were transferred to 3-star accommodation in the heart of the city called the NASA VEGAS Hotel. This is situated in a central place and is right opposite the Suvarnabhumi Airport Rail Link Ramkhamhaeng.
The group reached the hotel at 9 am and after refreshing started day 1 by going on a temple tour of the city. We had arranged for an exclusive buffet spread for their breakfast at the hotel and after their breakfast, we left on the temple tour at 11 am along with two proficient guides (assigned to them for the whole trip). We all know that The city of Angels- Bangkok is the Party hub of Southeast Asia, however, Bangkok is not only known for that but also for its cultural aspects. The Temples and Wats here are so magnificent that their sheer architecture and peaceful atmosphere mesmerizes all its visitors; tourists and locals equally.
Golden Buddha (Wat Traimit):
Thailand welcomes tourists from all over the world for its art & culture through its Bangkok temples. First, we went to the temple of The Golden Buddha. Locally called the Wat Traimit.
Located in ChinaTown, the 5.5 Ton solid gold statue measuring 5 meters in height dates back to the 13th century. This statue is said to have been covered in plaster as a facade until some construction workers dropped the idol by mistake during transportation. Thus revealing the glistening golden status!
The temple complex also houses a museum on the third floor where one can learn about the history of the temple.
Marble Buddha:
From there we headed straight to Wat Benchamabophit Dusitvanaram also known as the Marble Temple due to its pillars, courtyard, and the lion statue being carved out of Italian Carrara marble. The temple’s name means “the Monastery of the fifth King near Dusit Palace”, the fifth King being King Chulalongkorn the Great (Rama V). This temple has an influence of Chinese and European architecture, thus giving it this spectacular look!
From here the group was taken for lunch at around 2 pm to the Baiyoke Suite where a delicious spread of Indian cuisines awaited especially for them.
Post lunch, the group had some time to relax after which they spent the evening at leisure. They had dinner at the Curry Pot Indian Restaurant post which they went on a shopping spree at one of the most unique markets – Indra Square Night Market, after which they had a good day’s rest at Nasa Vegas.
Day 2: The Day of Amusement in Siam Park City!
Post a good rest and sumptuous breakfast, all of us headed straight to Siam Park City. One of the best amusement parks in the world, this park not only has rides and other entertainments but also houses a section dedicated to Thailand’s cultural showcase. This park is divided into multiple zones according to the attractions they offer such as Water World, X-Zone, Family World, Fantasy World, and Small World. Though it sounds a day full of fun activity, it definitely drains you of your energy once you participate in all its activities. Lunch was also arranged in the park.
In the evening the whole group again went shopping at the famous MBK Mall. A shopping complex with 8 floors and about 2,000 shops showcasing brands of accessories and clothes from across the world. From here all headed straight to dinner which was organized at The Baiyoke Suite followed by a peaceful night’s rest at the hotel.

Day 3: Namaste Pattaya!
Post breakfast, checked-out from Nasa Vegas at 8 am, and started our journey straight to the Sin city of Thailand – Pattaya!
Sri Racha Tiger Zoo:
The very first place we visited in Pattaya was the legendary SriRacha Tiger Zoo.
The most unique animal sanctuary which mainly concentrates on the now endangered animal species – The Tigers. Here one can pet, feed, cuddle, and even take the tiger for a walk. This is one place where you can also see other animal species living in total harmony with each other. One can witness mother pigs feed tiger cubs alongside their own piglets. You can also find many exotic animals such as single-humped camels, kangaroos, and many more.
After a fun morning, we stopped for lunch which was organized at the Mind Resort, where they feasted on some mouth-watering Biryani!
Big Buddha:
Post this the next stop was the world-famous Big Buddha.
Present on top of the Pratumnak Hill amidst thick foliage is the glowing 18 meters tall Golden Buddha. Wat Phra Yai is very popular among the locals as well. The striking architecture can be seen from the staircase leading to the temple. The intricately carved Golden Dragons and a seven-headed mythical snake called Nagas emerge from the dragon’s mouths.
Pattaya Viewpoint:
Post the prayers, our next itinerary was the picturesque Bay Viewpoint. Khao Pattaya View Point, again on the Pratumnak Hill, is the best viewpoint in the region and the place to visit day or night to get that classic click of Pattaya’s sweeping bay. This was followed by a visit to the infamous floating market where you get everything from fresh produce to fashion and also the never-to-miss street food.
Dinner was organized at the Veda Indian Restaurant, later all headed for some sleep at the 3 stars Phuphaya Resort.

The lush hills and reefs along with the azure waters not only make it natural heaven on earth but also a beautiful spot for adventurous activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea diving, sea walking, parasailing, waterskiing, windsurfing, and many more. Lunch was arranged at the island itself.

This was followed by a Night full of exciting celebrations. Pattaya is the undisputed party capital, it is the best way to party through your night and enter the New Year in an amazing fashion. A sleepless night filled with wild festivities in this hotspot can only be described as the peak of new year celebrations. Just when it was not possible to make the new year any more memorable, the party then moved from the Walking street to the shores of Pattaya where the sky was lit with thousands of astounding fireworks. This spectacle lasted for a good 30 minutes with each minute bringing more and more magnificence than the previous second, hence welcoming the New year with a Bang!

Day 5: A Final Goodbye!
Gemstone Gallery:
Post an all night Thailand new year party and some rest, we checked out of the hotel at 11 a.m after a heavy breakfast. The next pit stop was the Gemstone Gallery. This is also one of the most famous tourist attractions in Pattaya for the variety of precious stones and jewelry offered in the shop. Gem Gallery is where you can see a virtual tour of how gemstones are taken from the mountains, then polished and then made into cute little stones and jewels as final output. You can see the live process of people working on them. don’t miss this free tour if you are in Thailand.
