Transportation within Vietnam
While reaching Vietnam is easy as long as you book your flight tickets and get a visa. But once you land there, you need a mode of travel to explore nearby areas. So, let me tell you what they are, and you can choose the one that suits you best.
Bike: The most popular one among tourists. It is very efficient when money and time are considered. It will be easy if you know how to ride, then you can rent one and easily go to places you like.
Cycle: It’s best for going around the closest places. Just get a cycle and paddle and go see the sunsets and sunrises as you grab the best Vietnamese coffee.
Bus: It is cheap, but for a tourist it is recommended less unless you stay here for a long time to get to know the country. For local buses, you can get tickets from the conductor. Or if you’re booking bus tickets online, you can use platforms like 12Go or Vexere.com.
Hire rides: Instead of renting a bike, car, or bicycle, you can simply book a ride using Grab, similar to Uber.
Language: Download the Google Translate app for convenience, which allows you to understand what they are talking about or scan anything written in Vietnamese. There are only a few people in Vietnam who understand English. So it’s good to learn the essential words in Vietnamese.
Communications: Just like how we use WhatsApp for any communication in India, Vietnam also has an app called Zalo. Even though WhatsApp is used in Vietnam, Zalo is more famous. So, you can install and use it for seamless communication. |
