Beaches
It doesn’t do justice to your trip if you don’t visit the beautiful beaches on the Island of Bali. Seminyak has a few beaches with different vibes that suit everyone.
- Seminyak Beach – It’s the luxury beach. Rows of high-end resorts and restaurants with world-class hospitality and food. Also includes boutiques for the shopaholics.
- Double Six Beach – A wide beach with a ton of space to move around. It’s the kind of beach where you can see people going on a jog and spending time exercising.
- Petitenget Beach – A beach popular for its amazing sunsets; however, you won’t find much of a crowd here because people will be busy bar-hopping on the eat street nearby. (Eat Street is mentioned below in the blog.)
- Legian Beach – A go-to beach for sunbathing in the afternoons and dancing the night away.
- Kuta Beach – A beach with a heap of beginner surfing schools. You can learn to surf for 2 hours at around 200k/person (AS OF 2025). (Surf class mentioned below in the blog).

Petitenget Temple
Right near the Petitenget beach, you’ll find the ancient sea temple known as the Petitenget temple, also known as the Pura Petitenget. This is the key cultural attraction in Seminyak. The temple grounds also have another temple inside, the Masceti temple.

If you have 15-20 minutes in Seminyak, this is the perfect place to pay a visit to.
The temple is said to have been built when a priest asked a giant (Buto Ijo) to protect a haunted box. However, he took his job way too seriously and started attacking the villagers who passed by the box.
To avoid that, the priest built a temple so that no villagers would get hurt, and also the giant could continue doing his job in peace.

Eat Street
This street is pretty popular in Bali, but hardly anyone knows its original name, ‘Jalan Kayu Aya’.
On Google Maps, you can find a road mentioned as ‘Jl Kayu Aya’. It is situated in the middle of Seminyak Beach and Petitenget Beach.
As the name suggests, you’ll have multiple dining options. From casual cafes to restaurants that don’t let you inside without shoes, you can find something that suits you.

However, if you want all of these together, you can check out the Seminyak Square on the same street. It is a mall with brands like H&M and Dior. You’ll also find local shops, convenience stores, alcohol shops, food courts, boutiques, all under one roof.
Nyaman Art Gallery
A contemporary art gallery featuring local Indonesian artists, and a bunch of international artists as well.
‘Nyaman’ means ‘cozy/comfortable’ in Bahasa Indonesia. And just like the name, this place is tiny and comfy. It looks more like somebody’s house of collectibles than a museum.

There are paintings, books and handmade art from shells, bones, wood, horns, and more!
After looking around, you can buy souvenirs from there, like Bali postcards. They also have a cafe that serves hot coffee and warm cookies.
If you are an artist struggling with a creativity block, Nyaman Art Gallery is the perfect place to unwind and get inspiration and motivation! A cheap thing to do in Seminyak, but highly recommended!

Beach Clubs
If you are visiting Bali not for travelling but for “vacation” and “honeymoon”, beach clubs are the best choice. Let me convince you.
Whenever we imagine a beach vacation or watch a movie where the actor is on the beach, sipping a cocktail, it’s most likely a beach club.

A beach club is a vacation house on the beach that offers an option to rent their daybeds and pool for a few hours a day. You can lounge on the beach, under the umbrella, sipping your favourite drink while getting a leg massage.
If you wish to do things in Seminyak, Bali, at night, then you can witness the slow-moving beach club turn into a high-energy party club. DJs, striking lights, parties, and dances.
Potato Head Beach Club and Ku De Ta Beach Club are quite famous beach clubs among tourists.
Cooking Class
There are plenty of cooking classes in Bali. If you are interested in Balinese cuisine like Pepes, Lawar Bali, and more, this will be a great activity!
The most popular cooking class in Seminyak is ‘Warung Chef Bagus’. Chef Bagus will teach you a list of dishes for a few hours, 3 days a week. And charges 500k IDR (2692 INR approx) per person.

However, you can also try other cooking classes on Google Maps and Airbnb Experiences, by typing ‘Bali Experiences’ or ‘cooking class in Bali’.Surf Class
Surfing is a popular activity in Bali. The dry season, from April to October’ is the best time to surf, as you’ll get surfable waves, and people from all over the world come to surf here.
As we have read earlier, Kuta Beach has a lot of surf schools, as well as independent surf coaches.
The surf classes will go for about 2 hours, and you’ll get to learn all the basics of surfing.
Popular surf schools include Libra Surf School, Santai Surf School & Kima Surf Camp.
Pro Tip: However, there are numerous scams around surf lessons. The coaches might not be experts, or they might not teach you properly. So, it’s best to read Google reviews of surf schools before going. And if you are planning to get a personal coach, ask for surf certification.
Yoga Class
If travel has disrupted your routine out of balance, a yoga class in Seminyak is an easy way to reset while still soaking up the island vibe.
Bali is one of the great places to learn yoga. Just like the cooking class and surf classes, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from.
You get a chance to practise different kinds of yoga styles, such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and more!
You can try Yoga 108, Jiwa Yoga, Potato Head & Tula Wellness. Make sure to read the reviews before signing up.
Chocolate Class
Indonesia’s tropical weather is perfect for growing cocoa beans. And hence, the country has multiple cocoa farms and factories. Their chocolates are usually infused with locally sourced ingredients like tropical fruits and coconuts.
JungleGold (formerly known as Pod Chocolate), Krakakoa, Sorga, and Primo are Balinese-made chocolates that are great as souvenirs.
However, if you want the experience of making your own chocolate, then I’ve got you one solid option and one backup.

Krakakao Chocolate Cafe and Factory and Dialoong Seminyak host chocolate classes where you can make custom chocolate bars yourself and get to take them home!
Shooters
If you need a break from beaches and bars and are in a dilemma about what to do next, Shooters is worth giving a shot.

Just a 5-minute drive from Seminyak Beach, Shooters is a cafe, bar, arcade, and mini golf court. If you are looking for fun things to do in Bali, Seminyak, this is a great place!

After days of travel, walking, and hiking, you deserve some self-care.
Picture entering a peaceful, aesthetic building filled with a calming scent. Once inside, you are directed to a bed where you can lie on your back, and a masseur massages you.
After, you get to sit in a tub of warm water sprinkled with rose petals.

This is what Bali spas offer! And here are a few recommendations, and if you like them, make sure to book them in advance.
Tip: Completely stay away from shady massage parlours that exist in alleys and that don’t have any Google reviews.
Cabaret Show at Frankenstein Laboratory
Frankenstein Laboratory is the only Halloween-themed restaurant in Bali! This bar+restaurant is a spookhouse filled with zombies.

Along with your dinner, you can watch the cabaret show, which consists of live dance and live music. Staff dressed as zombies will do their choreographed hip-hop, street, breakdance, aerial silk dance and even fire routines. (You can click pictures with them after the show).
They go all in on the “Halloween theme”. Not just the staff but even the guests can get their faces painted as a monster.
Even your cocktails are not spared. You’ll be served them in syringes, test tubes, beakers and even hospital IVs!
Isn’t this one of the most unique things to do in Bali, Seminyak?
